چکیده
X-ray fluorescence computed tomography (XFCT) is a molecular imaging technique that can be used to sense different elements or nanoparticle (NP) agents inside deep samples tissues. However, XFCT has not been popular tool because it limited sensitivity and spatial resolution. We present benchtop system in which superfine pencil-beam source ring of spectrometers were simulated using GATE (Geant4 Application for Tomographic Emission) Monte Carlo software. An accelerated majorization minimization (MM) algorithm with an L1 regularization scheme was reconstruct the image molybdenum (Mo) NP targets. Good target localization achieved DICE coefficient 88.737%. The reconstructed signal targets found proportional concentrations if detector number, placement, angular projection number are optimized. MM performance compared maximum likelihood expectation maximization (ML-EM) filtered back (FBP) algorithms. Our results indicate superior ML-EM FBP able as small 0.25 mm diameter. also measurements three projections 20-detector enough images.

X-ray luminescence computed tomography (XLCT) is a hybrid imaging modality with the potential to achieve a spatial resolution up to several hundred micrometers for targets embedded in turbid media with a depth larger than several millimeters. In this paper, we report a high spatial resolution XLCT imaging system with a collimated superfine x-ray beam in imaging the deeply embedded targets. A co...

PURPOSE The feasibility of medical imaging using a medical linear accelerator to generate acoustic waves is investigated. This modality, x-ray acoustic computed tomography (XACT), has the potential to enable deeper tissue penetration in tissue than photoacoustic tomography via laser excitation. METHODS Short pulsed (μs-range) 10 MV x-ray beams with dose-rate of approximately 30 Gy∕min were ge...

X-ray computed tomography (CT), introduced into clinical practice in 1972, was the first of the modern slice-imaging modalities. To reconstruct images mathematically from measured data and to display and to archive them in digital form was a novelty then and is commonplace today. CT has shown a steady upward trend with respect to technology, performance and clinical use independent of predictio...
متن کاملX-ray Computed Tomography for Medical Imaging
Themathematical principles of computed tomography (CT) were first investigated by J. Radon [28] as early as 1917 and were later extended to complex fields by Kirillov [22]. The first application of tomography was, surprisingly, in radio astronomy [2], and today, it finds usage in diverse fields such as medical imaging, seismology, and underwater acoustic imaging. In medical imaging, CT has had ...
متن کاملPencil beam coded aperture x-ray scatter imaging
We use coded aperture x-ray scatter imaging to interrogate scattering targets with a pencil beam. Observations from a single x-ray exposure of a flat-panel scintillation detector are used to simultaneously determine the along-beam positions and momentum transfer profiles of two crystalline powders (NaCl and Al). The system operates with a 3 cm range resolution and a momentum transfer resolution...
